Step 4: Tip card production

A six-sided tip card (See photo) was created by ClarkMorgan’s in-house design team in accordance to the request of Maersk.  This card is free-standing in order to sit on the trainee’s desk and all trainees received the card along with the individual DVD.

Step 5: DVD production

Each trainee undertaking the Powerful Presentations seminar was filmed, using digital video (DV), on the morning of the second day of each training.  During this section trainees would conduct a 5 to 8 minute presentation using all of the skills learnt and developed over the previous day.  This DV footage was then edited by ClarkMorgan’s in-house design team, into individual DVDs (see photo), bearing the company and trainee’s names. These were then mailed directly to the trainee in their respective cities.

Results:

ClarkMorgan Corporate Training delivered two concurrent seminars in four cities across China using a total of three trainers, and included a tip card and personalised DVD.

A training evaluation, consisting of 14 criteria, was completed by all 118 trainees, with a scale of 1 to 5 indicating the following opinion of the respective trainee:

  1. Fails to meet job requirements
  2. Essentially meets job requirements
  3. Fully meets job requirements
  4. Meets job requirements with distinction.
  5. Exceeds job requirements

A total average mark of all 14 criteria was calculated and then averaged across the entire group.  The results are as follows, with the scale from 1 to 5:

Beijing Training:

Morry Morgan:  4.64---------Jeff Lunz: 4.29

Shanghai Training:

Morry Morgan:  4.62---------Jeff Lunz: 4.54

Shenzhen Training (Course 1):

Morry Morgan: 4.53---------Jeff Lunz: 4.67

Shenzhen Training (Course 2):

Andy Clark: 4.47------------Jeff Lunz: 4.50

Conclusion:

These results indicate that the ClarkMorgan Corporate Training's Powerful Presentations seminar conducted for Maersk more than successfully “meets job requirements with distinction”.
