Happy Chinese New Year
IF YOU WERE BORN IN 1966, 78 or heaven’s forbid, 1990, then in a few days time it will be your year – The Year of the Horse. This will be the year that you wear red underwear, resist eating horse meat, and surround yourself with as many horse motifs as possible, as is the usual behaviour of those born in the same year as the animal in question.
People born in the year of the horse are extremely animated, active and energetic. They love to be in a crowd and so love to attend concerts, theatre, sporting events, and parties. ‘Horse people’ have a great sense of humor and love to be the centre of attention.
For the rest of us, this means that we need to manage ‘horse people’ to ensure they do not dominate meetings and are slow to commit to ideas. An extra level of influence and management is therefore required to bring horse people on board with strategy.
Famous ‘Horses’ include Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, Paul McCarthy and Governor-General of Australia Quentin Bryce.
