Our method

T.A.P.E.: how we make training stick

We start by asking what participants need to do, and know, to excel in their work. Then we design training that makes an impact quickly back in the workplace.

T

T.A.P.E.: how we make training stick

Theory

Only the concepts and frameworks participants genuinely need to understand the problem. No more.

A

Application

Connect those ideas to participants' real roles, clients, meetings and business challenges.

P

Practice

Time to try the behaviour, make mistakes, get feedback, adjust and try again.

E

Evaluation

Check understanding, action and follow-through, so learning does not stop when the workshop ends.

Why it works

Training should change what people do next

A good workshop is not measured by how much information is delivered. It is measured by what participants can apply when they return to work.

That is why most of the time in a ClarkMorgan session is spent on application and practice, using participants' own situations, rather than on slides.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

What does T.A.P.E. stand for?

Theory, Application, Practice, Evaluation. Only the theory people need, applied to their own work, practised with feedback, then checked for follow-through.

How much of a workshop is practice?

Most of it. Theory is kept short so people spend the bulk of the time trying the behaviour, getting feedback and trying again.

How do you evaluate afterwards?

With action plans agreed in the room, follow-up with participants and their managers, and, where the client wants it, assessments or 360 feedback before and after.

Does every programme use it?

Yes. Every ClarkMorgan module, in English or Mandarin, face to face or online, is built on T.A.P.E.
