Leadership

Comprehensive Leadership Development Program

A leader in the PCB technology and manufacturing industry, with more than 3,000 staff in China.

Challenge: Rapid growth meant many newly promoted and newly hired managers. The goals were to build a consistent leadership and management culture across departments and prepare managers to lead their teams to business results.

What we designed: A one-year programme for 35 managers in three parts: leading self (self-assessment, one-to-one feedback, time management), leading the team (DISC, a 4-day Leadership and Management Essentials programme, problem solving) and leading the business (HR and finance for non-specialists, advanced project management), closing with team building and a final presentation from each manager.

Result: Participants applied each session through post-training assignments in their daily work. Client feedback was extremely positive regarding extensive behaviour change.

A world-class telecommunications and information operator in Hong Kong, launching 5G services.

Challenge: Prepare a team of "5G Ambassadors" to present the company as a technology company, not just a mobile service provider.

What we covered: A strong opening; audience analysis with the 3 P's (People, Purpose, Payoff); structuring with emotional impact; delivering compelling experiences; slide design and virtual presentation; handling challenging questions.

Result: Ambassadors built a more credible presence, learned to avoid over-technical content and match it to the audience, and felt confident and well prepared to present in public.

Strategic Negotiation Skills

An international transport and logistics company headquartered in Austria, with around 8,000 employees in 35 countries.

Challenge: Managers regularly negotiate with many parties to keep logistics services flawless, and needed to define their strategic position and plan negotiations.

What we covered: Negotiation style, the Harvard method of preparation, building rapport, stakeholder values and win/win outcomes, a negotiation toolkit, calibration, great questions using the Meta Model, and practice at the negotiation table.

Result: Through a highly interactive, learn-by-doing workshop, participants improved quickly, learning to evaluate situations objectively and focus on interests rather than positions.

Challenge: Improve the effectiveness of reports, proposals and emails in English across a global, intercultural organisation.

What we designed: Core principles and three levels of linguistic competency; structures for the most-used business documents; correcting participants' own real work samples; and templates to streamline their most common reports.

Topics: People, Purpose and Payoff; the 3Cs (clarity, conciseness, credibility); the PDA email structure (Purpose, Details, Action); specific, confident and positive language; saying no and pushing back professionally.

A large international information technology group known for innovation.

Challenge: Managers relied on their own experience and individual contribution, and team members were reluctant to share ideas. The L&D team needed a practical way to help leaders clarify their role in innovation and drive innovative teams.

What we designed: Pre-workshop design with key stakeholders using real cases; each delegate led their own round of ClockWise on a real issue or opportunity.

Result: Every participant left with an actionable ClockWise Innovation Plan to review with their manager and team, supported by a post-workshop report and follow-up consultation.

A Japanese automobile manufacturer with manufacturing bases in 20 countries and regions.

Challenge: A team event for 120 staff to strengthen cross-functional understanding and promote shared values and a common business goal.

What we designed: A one-day event run by two experienced trainers with supporting staff, including the Crazy Color Rainbow Challenge, Metro Ride, Challenge Olympics and the Marble Pipeline Challenge.
